* What should I do if I have pain and swelling in my legs or arms?
Injuries to veins or arteries can lead to swelling and/or pain. We are happy to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of these problems which can involve the use of special stockings and or medication. We can perform ultrasound and plethysmography (the measuring of venus pressures) in our office to diagnosis of these conditions.
* Do you have leg problems?
Do you have varicose veins, rashes or ulcers on your legs or feet which are not healed or pain when you walk or stand? Conditions where the veins or arteries are blocked can lead to these complaints. Treatment can be simple for blockage of veins: varicose veins can be injected or ulcers can heal with the application of medicated bandages. For arterial conditions, cessation of smoking is a vital step.
Testing, such as ultrasound, can determine if medicine or surgery
can be helpful.
